A new year is a time for new looks, and some celebrities have found ways for you to change up your hair that channel their iconic styles.
Most recently, reality star Kylie Jenner released her own hair extension line, joining other celebrities like Shahs of Sunset’s Golnessa Gharachedagh, supermodel Christie Brinkley, singer Demi Lovato, and former View host Sheri Shepherd.
So which one of these is the best for your hair? We took these extensions to celebrity hair stylist and co-owner of Cie Sparks Salon, Michael Sparks to find out more about how to put them in and to see which type of hair each one would fit best with.
Here is a breakdown of each extension and what you should know about each one.

In addition to how to make clip-ins seamlessly work with your look, Michael also touched on how weaves — like the ones from Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams’ Naked line — need to be put in by someone who specializes in braiding hair underneath. Typically, that process requires 2-5 hours as the hair has to be sewn in. “You have to make sure your real hair is non-existent, because that line, that’s going to be your hair,” he says.
So whether you’re deciding on a celebrity endorsed clip-in, headband braid or a weave, Michael leaves us with this parting advice.
“Take your time when it comes to picking your hair,” he advises. “It’s your image. You wear it all the time so just make sure you work with someone who knows what they’re doing, and if you don’t like it, you can always get more hair.”
